Fire Watch in Toronto and the GTA
A sprinkler tie-in, a panel replacement, a staged renovation. Any of them takes the fire protection system offline, and the Ontario Fire Code and your AHJ then require a fire watch for the duration. Aventyr covers it with continuous thermal and smoke detection, signalled to a ULC-certified centre, instead of a guard and a notebook.
What the Code Requires
In Ontario the Fire Code and the local authority having jurisdiction determine what cover is required when a fire protection system is impaired or out of service. In practice that means a fire watch for the length of the shutdown, performed by someone able to recognise a fire emergency, transmit a warning and operate portable fire equipment.
The AG-FW100 is designed to meet or exceed the intent of those provisions with continuous detection and sub-60-second verified alarm transmission. Confirm the exact requirement with your AHJ and we will size the deployment to it.
How a Deployment Runs
The Cost You Are Comparing Against
Manned fire watch runs 35 to 55 dollars an hour. For round-the-clock cover that is roughly 840 to 1,320 dollars a day, and a multi-week impairment can pass 25,000 dollars. You are paying that for a person walking a route once an hour, carrying a phone, writing in a notebook.
The AG-FW100 covers the same impairment continuously, for a fraction of it, and produces an auditable detection record rather than a handwritten one.
Coverage in Toronto and the GTA
GTA coverage runs from downtown Toronto out through Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Scarborough and Hamilton. High-rise residential mid-retrofit, warehousing and distribution, and institutional buildings on phased upgrades are the usual calls.
Eastern Canadian signals are received through Aventyr's ULC-certified monitoring under CAN/ULC-S561, with geographically separate backup facilities for redundancy. Signals stay inside Canadian infrastructure.
