Fire Watch in Edmonton
Alberta Fire Code puts a fire watch in place as soon as a fire protection system is down for more than two hours. Edmonton is also where your alarm signal lands: Aventyr's ULC-certified monitoring receives Alberta signals right here. Continuous thermal and smoke detection, answered locally, for a fraction of a manned watch.
What the Code Requires
A fire watch becomes mandatory once a fire protection system has been impaired or taken offline for more than two hours. The conventional answer is a guard patrolling at intervals no greater than 60 minutes, with the ability to recognise a fire emergency, raise the alarm and use portable fire equipment.
That leaves up to 59 minutes uncovered between rounds, and it depends on a person staying alert through a twelve hour shift. The AG-FW100 watches continuously and does not get tired.
How a Deployment Runs
The Cost You Are Comparing Against
Manned fire watch runs 35 to 55 dollars an hour. For round-the-clock cover that is roughly 840 to 1,320 dollars a day, and a multi-week impairment can pass 25,000 dollars. You are paying that for a person walking a route once an hour, carrying a phone, writing in a notebook.
The AG-FW100 covers the same impairment continuously, for a fraction of it, and produces an auditable detection record rather than a handwritten one.
Coverage in Edmonton
Edmonton work runs across the industrial northwest, the refinery corridor out toward Fort Saskatchewan, downtown commercial stock and institutional buildings mid-upgrade. Cold is not a constraint: the units operate from minus 40 to plus 50 degrees Celsius.
Your signals are received here. Aventyr's ULC-certified monitoring receives fire signals in Edmonton under CAN/ULC-S561, staffed 24/7/365 by certified operators, with geographically separate backup facilities behind it.
